    THE FRAME
A Timbercraft frame is an extraordinary marriage of Old World techniques and modern cutting edge technology. After the mortise and tenon joinery has been drawn, timbers are cut, planed smooth, and hand dressed with protective oil.

    CHECKING

    HANDCRAFTING

Frames are typically cut from Douglas fir. Other wood species, such as Port Orford cedar, or Sitka spruce are also available. Green timbers are commonly used in timber framing, however, kiln dried or recycled timbers can be specified.

    JOINERY DESIGN

    COMPUTER GENERATED CUTTING

The same team that cuts your frame will assemble and raise it at your site. The frame for an average sized home can be completely installed in five to seven days.
